How to Add Zomony to Your Home Screen (iPhone & Android)

Zomony works entirely in your phone's browser -- there's no App Store listing, and nothing to download. But you can still add it to your home screen like a real app, with its own icon, so you don't have to type the URL or dig through bookmarks every time.

This takes about 10 seconds. Here's exactly how, for both platforms.

iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open Zomony in Safari (this only works from Safari, not Chrome or another browser on iOS).
  2. Tap the Share icon -- the square with an arrow pointing up, in the bottom toolbar.
  3. Scroll down the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen."
  4. Tap "Add" in the top-right corner.

That's it -- a Zomony icon now sits on your home screen, and opening it launches the app full-screen, without Safari's address bar or tabs around it.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open Zomony in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap "Add to Home screen" (some versions show an automatic "Install app" prompt instead -- either works the same way).
  4. Confirm by tapping "Add" or "Install."

Same result: a home-screen icon that opens Zomony without the browser UI around it.

Why this instead of an app store

Building and maintaining separate iOS and Android apps is a real, ongoing cost -- app store review, two codebases (or a cross-platform framework layer), and update cycles for each. Zomony is built as a installable web app instead: one codebase, works identically on both platforms, and updates the moment we ship them, with no app store review in the way. The tradeoff is this one small manual step to get the icon on your home screen -- worth it for how much complexity it avoids on our end, and it still gets you the same "tap an icon, it opens" experience.

If you haven't tried the core upload → identify → buy flow yet, that's worth doing first -- then come back and add the icon once you know it's something you'll actually use again.
